That would be the one you bought from me this afternoon then. (y)

A lot of the parts are common to the Lancia Thema and Alfa 164. Some of the body shell and suspension was also shared with the Saab 9000. The basic twin cam engine has been around for years (the block started life in 1959) however the turbo version has nitrided crankshaft, low compression dished pistons, oil jets that spray oil onto the bottom of the pistons, sodium filled exhaust valves and different camshaft profiles.

The ignition ECU is different to all other models because it's inbuilt MAP sensor has to deal with pressure in the inlet manifold aswell as vacuum. The car is supposed to run on leaded fuel but I modified the ECU years ago to retard the timming 5 degrees. That's what the small slide switch on top of the ECU is. Slide it towards the back of the car for retarded. I've used unleaded in it for years and have checked the valve clearances every 5-10,000 miles. They've never closed so the valve seats are not burning.

I've had that car for 18 years and know it inside out so anything you want to know. Just AAsk.

Dave.
