(G) Croma (2006) 1.9 JTD 150bhp - what fuel consumption?

I've had my Croma nearly 2 years now and the fuel consumption has got considerably worse. Just had a 36000 service and there appears to be no difference.

I always reset the trip clock when I fill.

I used to get about 450 miles to a full tank. Now I get about 370 - 380.

I can't even average 40 miles to the gallon.

It's been like this for about 5 - 6 months now. I know winter makes it worse etc etc but it wasn't like this a year ago.

What do you guys get to a full tank and avg miles per gallon?

I usually get around 40mpg, but just before christmas it got worse, also by co-incidence the rear tryes decided to scrub out rapidly (although rear tyre wear had always been excessive). took it to Fiat - back wheels re-aligned under a Fiat campaign. Result MPG instantly improved 40mpg round town 45 + mpg on a run, no tyre roar from the rear.

It might be best to get this checked out, they won't call you to tell you it needs doing but they can check against chassis number.
