Going to get a new rear box fitted to my newly aquired 2.4 M/Jet. I know its the same box as on the Croma 1.9 M/Jet. My question is which year of Vectra exhaust box is it ? I understood it was the same as the Vextra 1.9cdti, BUT I just just looked under a 2006 Vectra 1.9 cdti and that rear box is different, it had a straight outpipe at the back.

GM 24 422 036 is stamped on my rear box and its the original one made by Gillet. Have tried googling this part number but drawn a blank. Thx David

So I now know its a Bosal 185-001 or a Walker 23036.

What have other 2.4 owners done when the front & middle sections go as they seem unique to the 2.4 ? Maybe they are the same as an Alfa 159 2.4 M/jet ?

Do away with the whole system including the dpf.Fit a resonator were the dpf was,the rest is in stainless with pipes out the rear either side.Slightly deeper noise inside but not at all noisey.

Hi, I am now struggling as almost all the exhaust centres really don't have a clue, when you give them the reg number most just say the 1.9/2.4 back box is not available as an aftermarket part. I have been told by Bosal that 185-001 is not the correct part ref. They say that Bosal ref 148-095 is the correct one for the 1.9 M/Jet and according to my Fiat dealer and Eper the rear box is the same on both the 1.9 & 2.4. If anyone has had theirs replaced I would be interested to know with what manufactures box it was and what was the part ref off your invoice. Thx David

NB - Thx for your suggestion Buster but I am trying to keep the cost down as much as possible rather than going for a stainless system

thx Flisko, I have spent a lot of time on this today and found out MTS in Italy make the rear and centres box's for the 2.4, but they wont sell them directly to the public. They also make system for the 1.9.

I have ordered the rear box from Mister Auto in Lyon France for only £60 delivered, (about 70 euro's). 240 euro's is too much, I think a stainless custom fitted rear box would have been around £150/180 euro's here in the U.K. Fiat's price was around £300 or 350 euro's and Vauxhall/Opel say this original GM part ref ending 036 does not exist. The Bosal 1 is around £120 (not fitted) but Bosal say its for only the 1.9 Croma and they know nothing about the 2.4

Well it arrived and its now fitted on my 2.4. The manufactures label (MTS in italy) on it said it was for a 1.9 M/Jet Croma.
