croma 2.4 auto limp mode boost pressure sensor a circuit high

P0238 turbo pressure

error was reset, i can hear sound when i rev it like there is a split in some hose, i dont think i can hear it in neutral, sound comes from around exhaust manifold on right side, car doesnt pull like it should

was thinking broken exhaust manifold bolts or split turbo pipe, bad turbo?
cracked exhaust manifold?

found out ist cuz of egr valve, threads of those 4 bolts inside intake manifold are ****ed up and you cant torque them down so egr is wobbly and it leaks
hope i wont have to take intake manifold off

would this work?

Helicoils will work. I suggest you practice on a bit of scrap first if access is poor and you have not fitted one before.

Robert G8RPI.

there are no split hoses or pipes, gasses dont leak anywhere, everything points to a bad turbo
how do i know if intercooler is bad

reading my first post again, gonna try another boost sensor first

its this one right? on inlet manifold

yeah its right.Have you removed the small vac pipe of the turbo actuator to make sure you have vacuum?Got a standard kkk of a 200hp if you need it.There is a dead simple way of testing the charge cooler, might get frowned on but its how we do it.Remove the inlet on the turbocharger and cover it with a solid object,we normally use a number plate. If the engine carry,s on running when covered its pulling air from somewere else,if it cuts out its a sealed system. It saves taking the charge cooler out.

changed that sensor above and its same
also tried squeezing pipe and car sounded like it would stall, so no leaks anywhere

got another 2.4 croma just for parts, so i got most of the parts

this small pipe on left?

that small pipe controls the vgt part of the turbo.there is a solinoid valve next to the radiator at the top, that pipe conects to it.make sure there is vacuum on it.

Egr pipe joins inlet manifold and egr valve .
If pipe split or joints leaking, boost from turbo is lost through split or leaks , so no or reduced boost.
Similarly if egr valve stuck open boost from turbo pumps straight into exhaust, but you won't hear that loss.
