Hi all after seven years and eighty five thousand miles it was time for us to buy a new car. So with some sadness I have bought a nice pre reg 500 L mpw with leather seats and all the toys. After a very troubled start with our Croma things have been settled for some time and all those trips to our sons uni were made easy by Croma's limo qualities and in fairness it only had to be towed home once
from the other side of town (alternator melt down!).
A big thank you for all your help and advice
Richard.

Well according to "how many left?" There are about 950 Cromas registered in the UK. This makes it pretty rare for a 10 year old car, but the forum does cater for other countries.

I wonder how many UK Croma owners are on the Forum.

Robert G8RPI.
1.9 16V Eleganza.

Looks like I am giving up driving, so my extra rare croma will be offered soon.
Briefly 2.4, 44,000 miles, Leather, metallic blue, Connect Nav +.

Location Tetbury Glos.

Hi Telegraph, (Richard) you were one of the first people to welcome me and help me on this forum. My thanks for that. I hope the new car serves you well. Baz

It's tempting. have spent lots on current Croma (1.9 16v Eleganza) however which we would never get back if I sold the car now. Perhaps we can have 2??

Hi Baz,
Rare does not equate to value. Had this 8 years, got the auto because my legs were a problem, just getting worse now.

If you would like full details probably later today (Thurs)

Keith

Sorry to see you go Richard, used a lot of info supplied by you, good luck and many troublefree miles in your new car.
Kindest regards
Vento

croma works? how much money

Thank you all, I should have said that a fellow forum member who works in the local car spares shop is hoping to buy our croma he is a fiat enthusiast and an experienced mechanic so he knows what he will be taking on! I do hope he will be contributing some more Croma info.
Richard

Well Richard if you are like me (Croma to 500X) you will still be looking back in from time to time. Admittedly my Croma technical knowledge/memory/interest and priority are slowly fading but after 10 years of ownership and contribution it is HARD to stay away :)

See you here soon!

My 2.4 was sold today from the forum classified.
I hope it continues to give valuable service to the new owner.
I am now car-less, and will not be driving in future.

I will still see what is going on here.

Keith

Hi Buster,

I don't have his forum identity, but I expect he will pop up here. Certainly a Fiat enthusiast and has had a Stilo for 13 years.

Thats good news,if i remember correctly yours had been exceptionally good.Hey look after yourself.

Very pleased with the croma it's a credit to keith he's looked after it well. Had a few minor teething problems at first with a clogged map sensor and stuck turbo actuator but with a bit of fiddling it's now boosting well and really does shift if needed.

Hi Steve,

Apologies for that, almost the only time I saw it over 1500 rpm was during regen. I always ran in Instant MPG mode so that I knew, regen about every 400 miles, and I always continued til it finished.
I just didn't get it up to speed.
I was going to replace it with a new petrol engined car, but I am having to get used to losing my independence.

Don't forget that the service and oil degradation counters both must be reset, or after 22000 miles it will not regen. At present the counters are probably about 5000 miles.
