Hello people, ive not posted for a while as everythings been fine. But got a funny feeling we might have something brewing.
Just completed a weeks tour with the van in tow and have noticed what seems like a bang in the transmission when changing down from 5th to 4th with the wieght on it.Doesnt loose drive at all.Got home tonight and connected up FES to the car.Went in to TCU and found P1722,which i think relates to a speed sensor.Any ideas please, thanks seth.

Worked it out now.Due to the car being parked up most of the time, the battery runs low.On cranking it turns over slow and pulls a crank sensor fault, although a warning light never appears. The transmission has also picked it up of the data link.Still leaves the banging in the box issue though which i think is the valve block and one of the linear solinoids with fragments stuck to it jamming the valve.I wonder if a flush would cure it.Does anyone know wether the pan on the front of the box will come off in situ or is it a box out job? thanks seth

Yes it is except for one thing. The AF40-6 that is fitted to the 2.4 croma has one more plate on clutch pack c1 and c2.The max torque is also increased to 510nm.Im not sure weather the insignia/Zafira version of the AF40-6 is the same spec as these are readily available.I think im going to put a fresh valve block in it.cheers seth
