Has this ever been owned by a member?

who ever bought it it needs a cam belt done as its had the same one for 10 years

Hi I bought the car a couple of weeks ago and have just replaced the cambelt, tensioners and water pump. Strangely the belt was not in bad nick but there was a fair bit of play on the pump. Next to do are two rear shocks and a front spring then it is off to France on a jolly.

Car had 55k but the belt was changed for piece of mind. Sorry no pics but generally speaking any cracking was linear along the base of the teeth and could only be seen if the belt was looped over. I believe that if examined in situ the cracks might not have been seen. I would recommend complying with the maintenance schedules as closely as possible

did you pay full asking price?

Yes they wouldn't budge on price but I did get 3 months parts and labour warranty which I am putting to good use. Had I realised before buying the car that there had not been a belt change I would have held out for one to be fitted but ces't la vie. I bought my last croma with 90K on it and have just given it to my daughter with 135K on it. Reg is EJ55 TYZ so give it a hoot if you see it
