Technical Multiecnscan question

Hi,
I was thinking of trying one of the bluetooth EOBD interfaces and my tablet (Samsung Galaxy Tab). ODBlink looks like a possible app. If you have a smart phone that is another device saved. It looks like iPhones and iPads are not useable with most interfaces due to Apples restrictions on bluetooth devices.
The EOBD interface could be left plugged in behind the cover. It would also be nice to watch things like boost pressure or DPF temperature during normal driving.

I have seen loads of OBDII handheld diagnostic tools compatible with our Croma for £10 on ebay. From reading your previous posts and threads I have come to conclusion that they are good for engine diagnosis and servicing (switching off engine amber lights), but not for other modules.
I have 'opened door' red light on dashboard constantly (info refers to tailgate) and I want to try to switch it off using diagnostic tool or should I go straight for MultiEcuScan and I will definitely be able to switch that off on it?

did you want a proper diagnosis..??:confused:

I wanted to find out what causes the red light for tailgate on dashboard and get rid of it.
I guess I will need to get MES for it?

Hi,
@Paulski
While I recommend MES, I don't think it will tell you anything more about this problem than the light and message is. The ECU thinks the door is open. the databus will "say" the same thing. Start with the basics, in this case the door switch. Itls almost certain >90% that this problem is caused by a faulty or mis adjusted rear door switch or latch. On the Croma the switch is part of the door latch. I've never had to look at mine so dont know if it's adjustable or repairable.
I suggest you search rear door switch on the forum and post a door switch specific question on the Croma forum.
