Folks,
After my better half managed to spill a cup of coffee into the ignition switch aperture, i quickly removed it stripped it for cleaning.
For anyone who hasn't seen inside this beast, it's hugely complicated for what it does....many plastic parts, a circuit board, a small DC motor etc...
The bottom line is that after cleaning the fluids out and after several "gentle" re-assembly attempts, I managed to damage one of the 5 PCB mounted micro switches contained in it....Dooh.
I am sufficiently proficient with a soldering iron to replace it, if I only had a donor board to get one from......
So does any Forum member have a spare/scrap unit which they would willing to sell me, to keep my Croma running for a bit longer?
Alternatively if some kind soul has already performed a similar repair I would be interested to hear from them.
Cheers,
Peter.
