Disagree, I have had quite a few parts from Germany without any hassle. Even with the postage they are cheaper.

You could always email them to be sure. Remember there are significantly more Cromas in Germany than the UK so they tend to know what they are talking about.

Thats about £10 more than I paid a couple of years ago.
The spring is like the one on a clothes peg , but far stronger. I found it easy to reduce the pressure using 2 pair of pliers.
I took some photos of the spring before and after, I will try and find them but I have changed cameras /phones/ hard drives since so it will probably take me a while.

I guess you needed to dismantle the handle before being able to take some of the tension out of the spring. This is the bit I'm a tad worried about, don't want to damage it in this process.. Handle was there Thursday, will be fitting it today

It was the other way round for me , the spring was loose in the bag the new handle came in.
