hello everyone, I have a Fiat Croma 2006 and I would like to upgrade the firmware on the navigation map and connect nav Magneti Marelli. Where can I find the updated firmware? the latest firmware 2.12 should be correct?

what is the guide to upgrade?

You might have to be patient - there are 1300 Cromas here in the UK, and a very small minority have sat nav. I'm sure someone who's familiar with it will be along in time...

Is the OS and map data in these units exclusively for the Croma? I haven't used one, but I doubt it. I'd be surprised if it isn't common across other models, but I don't know if Fiat did make any other car with factory-fit sat nav in 2005. It may be standard across Fiat/Alfa/Lancia/Ferrari(!) though.

My old VW-group sat nav used a bog-standard Blaupunkt/TeleAtlas map CD. It might be worth finding out who actually makes the unit, then contacting them or searching elsewhere ;)

By the way, I read that pirate maps were a non-starter for my old VW unit. They put data on the CD that a PC CD writer is physically incapable of burning. When the unit attempts to load this data, if it doesn't see the official data then it tells you to bugger off.

The best option I could come up with was to buy a new CD for £100+, load it into the unit then sell the CD on ebay to get most of the money back.

The OP is looking for firmware update software, not map software.

All Fiat Connect Nav units are made by Magneti Marelli and the map disc is common across several different vehicles. There's a list of applicable vehicles for the map disc in my classified ad below.

Hi friend,

Did you find update for FIat Croma? I have version 11 in my unit and want to upgrade.

Darko
Unfortunately I have not found the right firmware 12.2 for the Fiat Croma and I can not do the update..
