Paddywack41 - I asked the fiat people and there said it could be related to the warning lights that come on, there said properly best to get someone (fiat) to have a look at the problem.

Thanks Bunny - Croma is due in on the 29th to get some the issues sorted either under warranty or by getting the original dealer to pay, so I will check out the beep as well.

Took delivery of the new(ish) Croma today and had the neighbours wander over. These are a mix of Volvo V70, Audi A6 and Volkswagen Touareg drivers. As they had never seen one before they were keen to know what is was and after viewing it they all all appreciated its virtues. Think I have spotted a niche in the market......

Hi
I got my 15months Croma about 8months back. Been a fine ride overall.
Only thing that bothers me is the creeking i get from the front shocks when i go over a hump at slow speed. Just wandering what can be done about it.
Just done 25000km...i guess pretty low for a 24months old car.
Anyone here have this issue??

Greetings from Sg.

Take me in the club: got the replacement from the dealer. 03/2008 Croma 2,4 JTD Eleganza

Welcome

The only regret/problem I have with the Croma is the GM floorpan, suspension and running gear.

Five wheel bolts on a Fiat is so ODD. Where did the good old 98mm PCD go :(

What is good is the Italian styling/touch, stonking Fiat engines (excluding petrol 2.2 version). (y)

To now my 1.9, 16V, Croma Diesel is just as good and reliable as it gets. Couple that with the bargain price and you/me are on a winner.

Count me in too....:D Croma Multijet 16V done just over 65,000 miles and had a few issues like, around 40,000 miles alternator packs up. Around 50,000 miles cooling hoses split and leak. Serviced every 18,000 and oil changed around 9,000 ( Depends on what the ECU says ). Very happy and engine has loosened up and is quicker than it was when it had 20,000 to 30,000 on the clock.:)

Croma 2.4, just 2 weeks now. Had to get an Auto, sad to see the GT jtdm go though.
2006, 24000 miles, leather and sat nav, with 160 page instruction book. Looks like about 38 mpg, but as it gets to running temp in about 3 miles short journeys are expensive.
Anyone tried a remap?
Old Fiat/Alfa/Lancia owner.

Hi count me in, 06 150MJ Prestigio. Ex Fiat fleet demonstrator, only 900-on clock last Jan!!!. Found by my local Fiat dealer. No probs so far. Used cruise cont on journey down M74/M6/M61 in june,set@68mph Ijust couldn`t believe reading of 67mpg. What`s it going to be when it`s run in !!!

Well I hope your fuel consuption expectations are delivered.
Seriouslt though, Manufacuter's EC figures, your trip computer mpg and reality will be very different.

For every car I have ever owned and driven (back to 1971) I have kept a mileage and fuel fill-up log including gallons.ltrs and price paid. Log also includes if tank was a full or partial fill (many years ago I could not afford to fill-up) :)

For all cars, for all years, my data has been shy of what the Mfg has claimed.

Same for my Croma.

Am I unhappy..........NO WAY
