| smoking!! had a de cat pipe fitted a little while ago, and when the temperature rises, it starts to smoke, however, with the original cat on it didnt smoke!! is it the fact that i have put the de cat on, or is it a a more sinister under lying problem that i may have?? ta chris

| Mr Pedantic | Re: smoking!! Most likely the oil seals in the turbo are leaking. The extra back-pressure provided by a cat helps lessen this. When you put a decat on, the back pressure is reduced, and the selas leak more. I had the exact same thing soon after I fitted my decat. You can get your turbo reconditioned, or get it replaced.
