Ticking?

I have a ticking coming from my engine. It's at the front near the turbo, but it's hard to locate due to cramped engine bay (20v turbo). you can hear it when idling from under the under the bonnet, and inside while driving. It gets faster the higher the revs are. It also seems to quieten down when the car heats up.

Re: Ticking?

Like suggested on FCCUK I think it's probably your manifold matey.

Re: Ticking?

I have a 1999 coupe. I thought the newer ones had a stronger manifold.

Re: Ticking?

Stronger yes, but not immune to the manifold problem.

Re: Ticking?

Stronger as in "strengthened the bit that used to crack, so now another bit cracks instead"
