So I may be a little late to the family but I'm currently considering buying a Fiat Coupe 2.0 20v Turbo Plus (Limited Edition).

I've searched high and low for reviews, of which haven't really helped me at all. So I'm now asking on here for a decent and honest answer to my question.

The car is in an immaculate condition (from what I've seen anyways), its got 118000 miles on the clock. Had a new clutch at 106000, new cam belt at 102000 and a new turbo at 86000.

I've read that though generally the car is amazing, the coupe can suffer from electrical issues and that repairs are costly due to lack of parts.

So any help would be appreciated, again an honest answer, not just a 'Yes, do it' or 'Look, I have one so...;)'

Thanks

I have one. Fantastic car.
There are issues with owning one. The first things are clutch and cambelt which in your case have been done.
next is coolant hoses. The rear one can let go and cook the engine. Know as the 'chod' (coolant hose of death). Get this replaced with a silicon one.
bonnet cables prone to snapping. Bottom End failures (poor maintaince). Slam panel and rad supports rot through. Headlight lacquer peel. Front wishbone knocks. Fuel pump wiring melting (yellow connector of death) higher tuned engine requires more load of the fuel pump wiring.
A great source of info is fccuk which I'm a forum member under the same username.
Obviously if you enjoy getting your hands dirty like I do they are brilliant machines, but if your not that way inclined they can be expensive.
Oh and the most talked about subject with the coop is....... oil pressure.
cold start should be 3bar when warm about 1.5bar. People get paranoid about having high hot oil pressures but the Fiat manual says 1bar is fine.
