Hi all, its me again.

In addition to looking to fit a cat replacement on my 20VT i was also looking to replace my normal air filter with a K&N Induction kit.

However, i have since been advised by the specialist garage fitting it that K&N filters don't actually make 20VTs necessarily go faster (they simply sound louder) but should instead fit a BMC air filter .
This option is not only meant to be cheaper but more effective - IS THIS TRUE.

Appreciate your comments on the above if you please ladies & gents.

Thank you.

P.S. - Audi TTs & S3s are still my main protagonists. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr!

I hav'nt got a Coop but BMC's cda basically have cold air ducting and twister filter in one.
No hot air can be sucked in like the K&N so it would be better performance wise

It were proper Bo i tell thee!!

I agree - I wouldn't bother with an induction kit, I don't think the BMC will give any noticeable improvement over the K&N.

Stick to a high performance panel filter instead which you won't have to declare to your insurance company. Or even just replace the std filter every 6 months which in my oppinion is just as good.
