Anybody know if there are any benefits to heat wrapping the downpipe ?

The downpipe? Or do you mean the Manifold? Benefits are mainly to keep the engine temps down by keeping the heat into the manifold. It's not recommended for the coupé though, the manifold will be even more prone to cracking.
