Ok. Only owned the car for a couple of days and someones put glue in one lol and had a go at the other with I presume a screwdriver.
I'm not concerned as I've got vandalism cover. Should I insist on a complete new set of locks and keys??? Can they just replace the door locks?
Any idea of cost as I have a £250 excess so I might as well go to fiat?

Hmm could probably do it yourself for <£250 but if your going through insurance, yes try your nearest dealer.

All I'll say is you must live in a very strange place for someone to put glue in your lock and then attempt to break in the other side . Very 'special' behaviour.

I don't they were trying to break in. I think they just wanted me not to get access.
Either way, "special" is quite amusing.

Aye it's jealousy I think. The stupid short ass f***wit next door keyed my rear quarter shortly after I got mine.

Jealous for the fact he works long shifts in a crappy minimum wage job and can only afford a crappy french piece of junk were I work 33hrs a week and can afford everything quite nicely :D

Good news!!!!
I put superglue remover in and left over night. In the morning the key went in but wouldn't turn. Used nail polish remover and it turned!!! A bit more for good measure and some wd40 to wash it all out.
All working including central locking!!!

Well happy.

I'm so chuffed I got the locks working!!!
Saved me a few quid there.
Next bit is the remote controls. First I'll change batteries and see if that works. Then I'll wait for red key to arrive and try to program them in. Have no idea how do to that! Lol

Think you may be making a big mistake painting everyone who works in a minimum wage job with the same brush my firend :(
The coupe is not exactly a "rich mans" car.
Myself and the Mrs. are not short of a few shillings but I would never show off or have a go at someone less fortunate than myself.

Normally I wouldn't but this guy behaves like he's the king of sheba ;). And I'll basically say what ever I want about someone who keys my car for no discernible explanation.

But keeping the thread on topic. Nice work getting the glue out!. Fingers crossed it's just the batteries.
