Those big grey boxes in the Fiat Coupe fusebox under the steering column, are they relays? Where can I get them - FIAT exclusive?

They seem to have different pin/prongs on the back.

The reason I ask is 'cos I have no sidelights coming on as well as speedo backlight and I've traced it to a leaking acid from a grey block on the fusebox.

leaking acid?!

you sure it's acid and not water?

Well, it's a greeny/coppery oxide as if a capacitor has leaked electrolyte, when I swap relays I get full functionality.

Anyone know a good breaker yard/spares place I could get relays/spares for the Coupe?

Sounds more like water to me. I fitted a tough plastic sheet above the fusebox to divert any water away from that rats nest of cable.

I located my water leak to the seam corners of the top of the front wheel arch 'A' post to lower windscreen 'A' post and the under window cross section. Where all three meet we had open seams.

Top properly inspect and fix you will have to remove the soft black moulded wind/sound cushions that cover this area.

After fixing never had the problem again.

Interesting feature of the leak was that for ages no water would get in, but depending on wind direction, parking on a slope etc. one day you would find frips of water on the carpet.

Check this are out carefully and fit a plastic sheet above the fuse box.

Hmm, thanks for that, other people have suggested it might not be an acid leak, I'll waterproof the area right away!
