| Rubberized coating on dash Hello all. I have a '96 Coupe. Lately, the rubberized coating on the dash and center console has been turning sticky and gel-like. I also has a tendancy to scrape off rather easily. Does anyone know of a good product to use to clean this stuff off and make it so it's not like goo? Thanks.

| Re: Rubberized coating on dash Solvent will get it off and you end up with shiny black plastic underneath. I think meths / surgical spirit should do it? Be careful not to scratch the plastic when you work on it. PS the goo gets everywhere when it comes off.

| Here to help | Re: Rubberized coating on dash Just be careful with solvent. I'm sure someone on fccuk managed to melt the plastic ![]() I can't see how though unless they gave it a real good soaking ![]()

| Re: Rubberized coating on dash Maybe they used Acetone on it. ![]() I think you could peel it off by hand. Mine is peeling off around my stereo. I would use white spirit to clean it off, that shouldn't do any damage.
