Re: is the 16v turbo an alloy or iron block?

The 16v Turbo is an iron block with an alloy head.
Not sure on weight. I dont think there is a lot in it.

Re: is the 16v turbo an alloy or iron block?

this is defonatly interesting (The intake and exhaust valves, inclined at 47º towards each other, measure 29.5 mm and 25.5 mm, respectively. ) what effect would making the valves the same size have? chears

Re: is the 16v turbo an alloy or iron block?

probably not seeing as the original valve size can flow up to over 400 bhp
Therefore I would have thought your valves will be able to flow what power you have fairly easily.

Donny, fair play to you wanting to mess about and build something better but why dont you just give in a build a 20vT Bravo? i'm sure it will be enough to keep you happy, and you should always experiment with bolting a supercharger to it to make it better....

lol procharging has been done with the 20vt mate it dont work lol,

i was only interested in the 16v block for another project (punto) as there is no point having a really fast car if it can only go in a straight line lol.

the bravo will stay NA for now if not ever lol i just cant destroy that 20v howl its sacraliguis.

until i get some good jobs in and my parts business takes off i wont be doing anything but research im afraid as im broke skint now lol all the car funds are now GONE.....
