 | eratic idle after flooring it Hi all ok as the title says when ever i floor it or rev it up on the drive then let the revs drop the car idle goes mental swining from 1500-2000 rpm. I have had the idle control valve to bits and cleaned with wd40, checked the map sensor pipe which is fine no blocks or splits. anyone else have any ideas, do you think the idle control valve or map sensor are causing the problem could they be broke any advice would help alot please its driving me nuts. Its a 16v N/A thanks in advance

 | Re: eratic idle after flooring it Can't remember if the 16v is fitted with an airflow meter (goes between the airbox and the throttle body with a plug from it) but if it has one thatl be whats wrong. It tells the engine the wrong info when it fails.
