as with the AGP, i think in time we will look back fondly on the 500A, for now though i don't like it. Its not essentially a bad car though so i think time will be good to it.

Agree, for now i think the AGP is slightly cooler but times and opinions change, the a500 will become cool eventually for certain.

Uncool for me ...... I like the 500 a lot and a fast one does sound fun but for some reason they just look "girlie" and a girlie car that goes fast is like using a stiletto as a running shoe

But those looks might lead to the performance taking people by surprise, lol!

I see what you mean and I have no doubt that there fast and fun but as far as cool goes? Well I'm not sure? Can't get past the cute fluffy looks of the 500

I do like the looks of the 500, certainly, it's a lot better than the new beetles and minis, but I wouldn't drive 1, cos they are a bit girly, lol! I'll stick with my Grande Punto, which Ben won't put on the cool wall!!!! :banghead:

Its not ben, its all the moderating team that can add cars to the wall - we just choose not to because, well because refer to your discussion with mrcinquecento on whichever thread it was - he hot the nail pretty square on the head as to why.

It just saddens me that so many people on here have such a massive downer on the Grande. I get the feeling that the Abarth was only added reluctantly.

so long as you are happy does it really matter?? Abarth was added as it is considered the top spec just like nearly all the cars on there.... classic bravo top spec is HGT or HGT abarth, top spec mk2 punto is the HGT, top spec 500 is the abarth.

Grande have in inordinate number of fans on this forum, but there is loads of people here that just don't really do newer cars - me included. Just the way it goes, we don't all like the same stuff at end of the day.

But surely the lesser models of the mk1 Punto, the mk2 Punto, the Grande Punto and the previous model Panda are more deserving of a place on the cool wall because of those 2 things they offer, which the Abarths, GTs, HGTs, etc, can't match: affordable style and character. For what I had to spend last year, I would never have been able to afford a Grande Punto Abarth, but I did have a selection of the lesser models which were within budget. I was lucky enough that at the time I decided to trade in my mk2, a dealer fairly close to me had an Eleganza sitting in his showroom, however, if I had 'only' been able to get my hands on a Dynamic, I still would've had a very stylish, nicely kitted car, for a nice price. For me, that is what makes it cool.

Its got nothing to do with whether all the models are cool or not though; people who are into fiats in general have a good appreciation for an honest cheap car and fiat are the best in the business at making cheap little cars. As said already - we are not gonna have loads of versions of the same car on there it will just be messy - and to this end the decision was chosen to put the top spec up of a car.... You might not see it as 'fair' but that doesn't really come into it at all - it would make less sense to stick a dynamic on there and not an abarth.

You misunderstand me: all I meant was that it would make more sense to have the whole model range of each type of car, like you have done with the classic Panda, the Multipla, and the 127, rather than to just have specific variants.
