FIAT Classic Panda

Whether it's a 4x4, a van, a tent, a bed, an electric car or just to get you from a-b. The versatility of the Classic Panda is the epitome of Italian utilitarianism!

In production from 1980 - 2003 Fiat sold 4.5 million cars all over the world.

"The Panda is like a pair of jeans, that simple, practical, no frills piece of clothing. I tried to bring into this car the spirit of military machinery, especially helicopters, that means light, rational, built-for-purpose vehicles."
- Designer Giorgetto Giugiaro

Generally, small, continental retro hatches are cool.

Look at the following the Classic Panda's get on here as an example, there's probably thousands of "better" cars out there on every level, just like there is for Cinqs, but it doesn't matter, those that own them tend to love them and their character, people that don't own them see them and smile (in a good way), which isn't a reaction you really get if you roll up in an old Nova, Micra etc.

They have an unquantifiable "something".

I know what you're on about now, lol! Italian cars do have that "something".

Re: FIAT Classic Panda

You need to drive one to really appreciate how much the classic Panda get under your skin.

As far as the wall is concerned I think all old Fiats are cool. The fact that most are design over function just make them more appealing.

And you need to drive them back to back with their contemporary rivals. They will all drive the wheels off of the relevant rivals if you like fun!

Re: FIAT Classic Panda

I took the Panda to Studlys Castle on Thursday, coming home I used some back roads. I had an Audi A3 behind me, trying to 'push' me along by driving very close. After a few miles of this I decided to see how committed he was to going fast . Either his car or he wasn't as good as he thought they were because the Panda left them for dead through the twisty bits. I eventually slowed down to let him overtake when we got to a main road .

If you'd been in Panto you could have lured him into overtaking, then made it extremely difficult to achieve - that's probably just me!!
