if coming off at J18 I would have gone the other way.

or just go up the m1 or m6 and back

M40 > M42 > M6 for me but then im not in your convoy so i'll stop thread hijacking

FAO anyone going through dartford tunnel to get to stanford and join the convoy, the tunnel is going to be shut from 1AM to 6AM, so expect some tailback traffic.

well luke as long as ur at mine by 6:30ish we wont have a prob atall.. even later would still be ok tbh.. toddington really isnt that far

Yea, im considering going through blackwall tunnel and catching yours via the north circular. Wont be much traffic that time of morning. Just dont wanna chance getting lost

Ok ive also been warned that theres roadworks near Luton with 40mph speed limits - and they're using average speed cameras so cant avoid it. Dont get caught out!!

yeah we went through these going upto get my car last weekend.. there not very long but do have the cameras. shouldnt be anyu traffic at that time

hope i dont run into any, ive got no speedo

just stick behind someone if it says 40 then we will sit at 40.. no point in risking it if cameras are envolved.

Also this sunday is Formula 1 at silverstone so may be more traffic as well

I cant see there being a huge ammount at that time. might be a bit more as you say but it wont be busy doubt it anyway

I'm joining the M1 at milton keynes, might try and join it around the time you guys pass there and catch you up or drive really slow

we should be leaving toddington around 7:45ish.. depends if anyones late etc. if we do leave at 7:45 then we should be passing MK around 8:05ish.. or just after 8 I woul have though.. poss earlier really

i got petes number, so he can give me a txt or a call when you pass the woburn junction before MK so it should be ok. I'm actually just staying outside MK in leighton buzzard so if i leave at 7:30 it should take 20ish mins to get the m1 so i can alway pull over and wait...

I should be joining the convoy at Toddington Services.

I will have to keep Pete informed as to where I am in the morning though because I have to take Whiley with me and he has a habbit of oversleeping when we are going to car shows.

I will be in a Steel Grey mk2b Punto (with a red scooby vented cinq bonnet in the back )
