is there gonna be a convoy for us southeners to stanford this year? I know there was talk of one before but i dont know anything about it.

preferbly one going up the M1 and then up the A5 or something as then us from the proper southeast wouldnt have to trail halfway across the country to get to the convoy.

cheers!

well i`ll be up for it, i live in milton keynes so its just up the m1. you gonna camp the night before?

oh right, well travelodge sounds fine to me. well emz (foxyemx) will no doubt come along aswell cos she wont wanna go on her own

that sounds fine man, that is the way i was plannin on going anyway, around the m25 to the m1, junction 18 i think which is a5, get off at catthorpe and then is a few miles to the hall, i havent got the address for the camp site but i am sure that would b going the same sort of way.

are u leaving sat morning/afternoon?
i think gettin there for about 12-1pm on the sat would be best.
if so we could meet in a services on the m25, or even toddington on the m1.

wat ya think?

yes A5 foesnt actually come into it... i looked myself heh. although its a more scenic route instead of the M1 but takes longer.

if you wanna get there for 12-1pm then youll have to be up very bright and early. i feel its a little pointless. maybe get there in the afternoon? kinda makes more sence seen as the event isnt even till the next day and alot of the other campers wont be getting there till then anyway (i suspect... i would lol)

anyway. anyone any idea if it would be ok for us non clubcento/ camping people to invade the campsite and then head back to wherever were staying?
I think the best thing to do would be to meet on the first services on the M1 after the M25 to form a giant convoy lol. obvously people coming from the east of london could meet earlier and so on. but just everyone get to toddington services at a set point and do the rest of the journey together.

ill just follow u then.... toddington services does seem like the best place to meet! should b pretty big as well, an we need a huge convoy, just take over the place!

i c wat u mean about times, would b a bit of a waste of a day gettin there that early, will have to find out wat time most people are there for and try to sort out a time so everyone get there at about the same time!

does sound like we are gettin a plan sorted tho! (y)

Most confused about this A5 route  - From M25 it's just straight up M1 off at Junction 19 onto A14! Then you can get to both Sanford Hall and campsite from there.

I usually get to the campsite at around 3pm - chance for a lie in in morning n a trundle down at my leisure :D

Depends on whether it's ok with the farmer who owns the site! Not sure he'd appreciate cars turning up without the intention of camping! We're all off to the pub anyway :D I'm sure you could meet us there

yeah wouldnt expect the campsite to let another load of cars in just for the sake of it. one or 2 maybe but not a whole convoy lol...

toddington services is ideal really..

its not a big services but ah well.

10 cars would be good idealy. would be quite a sight to see 10 fiats all in a line on the motoway heh.

i think itad be a good idea to probably meet at toddington around 1pm.. say we crusied at 70mph all the way (dont want to attract more attention than we would already get) then it would take around 2 hours to get there as i do stoke on trent in 2 1/2 hours and thats quite a bit further. so we would be in the area around 3pm/4pm which i think is a good idea. all go off and check in to wherever and then meet back somewhere at say 5:30ish
