North (east) to Stanford, Tesco

Ok.. This thread is for people joining a convoy as it makes its way to Tesco down the M1.

I'll be setting off from A19, Teesside. Anyone starting further north, or joining us? Will be looking at a quick comfort break at the services just south of Sheffield.

i could go to the A19, might be quicker for me than driving through pickering, malton, york and that way. what time would you set off?

To get to Tesco at 8:30?

Google maps says it will take 3hr 20mins! Will consult the TomTom.

i know. tomtom is always slightly more optimistic though.

ok tomtom pretty much agrees. he says 3hrs 16 mins from my house and its likely to be only slightly less from teesside maybe. we really need to be setting off just before 5 if you want to stop for a rest/fuel etc. is anyone else taking us up on this northern convoy or not? can we meet at teesside park or something?

Yeah, we up for convoy (hellcat, me and little James) I thought leaving about 6 am would be good, but i haven't had time to check the tomtom.
Think Mike (valeen) would be joining us.

leaving at 6 sounds kinda late maybe. depends if you wanna get down to tesco's at half 8 or not i suppose.

Looks like a very early night on Satuday if we leaving at 5am.

So are you guys meeting us at the Cov Tesco near the Showcase Cinema or are you meeting at a Tesco nearer to Stanford?

It will be the Showcase one I would presume, alongside all the other FFers.

yeh the plan was to all meet at the same one. was it the crosspoint one? if we were to meet there for about 8:30 or 9:00 it would mean setting off at about 5ish

Yes it is the crosspoint one and if i remember rightly we said 8:30.

yeh 8:30. Thats why im not wanting to set off at 6, considering its about 3 hours away.

Oh yeah course, long way for you isnt it. Im sure it will be a great day though so well worth it.
