copy and paste not working

this is now got to the point where its driving me crazy!

basicly, some times it copy's it and sometimes it doesnt, what could be wrong? my comp runs perfect except copy and paste lol

use keyboard Ctrl + C to copy, Ctrl + V to paste

I know what you mean beau, our work PCs on NT doe this and tech support say its one of those things that cant be fixed. Usually stops doing it after a reboot.

My pc changes the left click to the right click (ie the wrong way around) sometimes, or double clicks on a single click and reboot required.

If it copies in say word, but not IE- it could be protected content

if it copies in IE or say notepad but not word, short cut could be missing from word

Why is what Dave says funny? That is what I do

some times in ie i cant copy n paste with mouse, but short cuts work

Try repairing your Windows Registry. (this was an easier task back in the days on Win98)

In the future, you should address these problems as soon as you notice them otherwise they usually get worse and always become more difficult if not almost impossible to repair without a format.

Just replace your Operating System. Most *nixen have suprior copy and paste to Window$ anyway..........
