I haven't used Access queries for about 5 years and although it's quite obvious how to get to a certain point, I can't remember the scripting for the queries! Can somebody help please? I am sure I will work it out shortly but just incase:

i have a 300,000 item database and I need to find all of the entires within a certain column containing the numbers "360" - it is usually NL-360L-..... but not always, is there an easy way to get it to return all results with "360" in that field?

I prefer to use Excel and filtering where possible, I have actually copied all the data into Excel now for my next stage, rather than relying on Access.

Real databases use SQL.

remember to remove "Southwinds" database if using access as it has several documented back doors and security risks!

It's just an internal database of work orders dating back to 2004, around 300,000 items including genuine work orders such as "replace ESD valve on 360A" right through to "fill a watering can for the plants"
