| meow  | if i got a new hard drive how would i put everything onto it??? if i got a new hard drive from ebay, how would i put everything on to it? i have no disks for windows or anything so surely everything would need putting on it?  also, how do i know how much gb of my hard drive i am using? i tried to look but dont know?

| :)  | Re: if i got a new hard drive how would i put everything onto it??? No feasible way to do what you want AFAIK, you will never get it exactly as it is. Only real thing you can do is copy the files you require (onto CD,DVD, external HDD etc.) and reinstall everything like windows again. Go to my computer and right click your hard drive, click properties, voila. My advice is to buy an external HDD.

| oh me gums!  | Re: if i got a new hard drive how would i put everything onto it??? my computer>right click the drive>properties or go into disc managment. no windows discs?naughty naughty  windows xp has a file transfer wizard. if its just for more storage and you have space for a secong HD just put it on the IDE and format it. or is it for the lappy? | ||

 | Re: if i got a new hard drive how would i put everything onto it??? STOP. You need Ghost. It will take a byte by byte copy of your current hard drive and replicate it onto a new one. PM me and I will sen you a copy. Set up your new drive as a slave and boot from this floppy. Them make your slave drive the master.
