was trying to duplicate dads old laptop hard drive and blue screened and it seems i have lost my partition table on the destination source

space just says its unallocated in the manager, last time i did this i had a back up of all my data and was able to recover this time my backup drive, well i was using it to store a few dvds. any ideas on how to recover? last time i lost my map files,

my old backup drive broke 2 years ago portable no bluescreen, and is set as unallocated at the moment, so i can trial repairs on that.

for the time been i have disconnected the 2tb drive, until i can find an acceptable solution.
