Network Key

hey all, i'm lending my GF my old laptop BUT we can't find the network key.

i have a laptop which i'm on now (her mums) which is on the network.

is there anyway to get it off that?

oh and its WEP.

thought id be able to get it off this laptop but cant see how to

use her laptop to connect to the router... and get it from there. The key is encrypted within windows and I don't think you can drag it our the registry without some special apps

Use her mum's laptop which is on the network to open the routers config page... if you can't remember the password for the router then it's factory reset time - and write down the password somewhere!

Should be a pin reset on the router somewhere. That will reset it to factory settings but you should be easily able to get on the router config... just find the default gateway(ipconfig /all), type that in internet explorer and walah.
