Ok, I have notced that there seem to be a lot of people posting their speedtest.net results so I thought I'd make a thread just for them.

First I did it with my closest server:

Slow. but that's what I'm paying for.

And having seen the outrageous speeds you guys have, I thought I'd go the other way and try to go slow hte slowest I could.

Not much difference eh?

See Sig - but that is on my rented server, not my home ISP.

Home is showing this, on VM 20Mbit:

Pretty poor on an 8MB product and living less than 2 miles from the Exchange but better than the 480kbps d/l and 256kbps u/l that I was getting a couple of months ago until BT didn't fix a fault that wasn't on my line. ;)

Mine are too. :p Can see them from my bedroom window. :)

Morecambe hasn't moved into the 21st century yet.

Should post your stats up really to see if there is any problems on the line. :chin:

Type you routers IP address in your browser, log in and look for a button called "Show Statistics" it will open a pop up up window, copy and paste all the data it show up into a post. :)

Your attenuation shows you are pretty far from the exchange. But, you are getting a good connection. (y)

My only concern is your noise margin, it's low, should be high at this time of night. :chin: Could be a router bug though. To stop drop outs it should be at least 7.

You should consider a new faceplate and sort out your cabling a bit to boost your connection a bit, but you won't see massive imporvments due to you being quite a distance from the exchange. :)
