Buying new pc time

Been stuck with this pc for good few years now and about time to get a decent computer.

Bar in mind I do video editing (would do a lot more if this pc wouldn't lock up all the time under high work loads) and such also I multi-task like hell.

Not sure which to get from these two:

http://www.meshcomputers.com/Default...UCT&KEY=304893

with 135.13 pounds added on with changing the 500gb to 750gb and buying a 2nd 500gb drive.

or

http://www.meshcomputers.com/Default...26&APPS=234465

Both seem to have the same quad core processor and same 4GB ram. Speakers not bother about (have my own ones that I'll keep as how dam good they are). Graphics wise I'm not one to care about the small differences that a 250 pound different in price from two gfx cards just good decent one that plays all games so that work and run fine without any issues (not big pc gamer anyways, have my 360/PS3 etc for that)

Storeage I have a "400gb" external drive currently that I use for most of my media/backups so I'd keep that and if went with the first pc, I'd more likely pay the little bit more to get a same sort of size so have 500gb x2 like 2nd pc plus my external drives from work that I use.

"Digital / Analogue TV Tuner PCI Card " Seems to have the basic S-Video imput but I'll be using my own HD capturing card [so can capture stuff from my Sky HD ] so thats not a issue.

Screen I'm using atm is 19" and not the best qual so anything bigger and decent is fine.

Sound, long as it's got decent line in port don't care

So which one should I get. Can't really see point in getting the 2nd model. Advice/Questions please.

Re: Buying new pc time

At those prices, I would homebuild.

I did a thread on here about speccing up a new PC, and was Quad based, etc. I read through the specs, and just shake my head - then again, I also like to overclock, and this is where some components will fail.

Always best to have the OS on another HDD, a 36GB Raptor for example - this will speed things up a lot.

I also run 2 monitors [see my new monitor thread] and if you are running SLi, this can be a right hassle, unless you get a 3rd GFX card.

Raid Stripe is the way forward if you after major performance increases from the drives!

P.s. Home build more bang for the buck!

Re: Buying new pc time

Yep, which is why I intend to buy 2*36GB Raptors for the OS.

I am a great lover of multiple drives anyway - already running 6 in this rig

Re: Buying new pc time

Too lazy to home build :P and I've heard good things from MESH. There prices are cheap compared to Dell and so forth.
