desperate for help!

well me laptop is playin up, gets to say windows then turns off nd says summit bout boot devices.
any idea on the problem and how i can fix it.

Does it say Boot Priorities have changed, hit a key to enter setup?

says i have to reboot and select proper boot device

it has a pxe code too which according to hp site is easy to rectify

Yes, it should be a doodle - just go into the BIOS and check the HDD boot device priority, lol.

How good are you with PCs?

i can manage with instructions. the hdd is 3rd priority, not sure where should be though

Do you have a floppy or another drive attached? Or maybe something in the DVD player? If so, remove them first.

removable devices is 1st priority, 2nd is cd/dvd, 3rd is hdd and 4th is intel somethin

how do i change positions, i tried using - and + but thins disappeared

ive managed to move stuff but now one of them says disabled. how do i enable it again?

i worked it out, but i still cant get at anytging, the boot menu order hasnt changed not sure if thats good or bad
