No A134 i think it is, i go through it when i go skegness, it crosses the m11

edit, google still say it 10 minutes from the pub you do go on A11 then turn left. use two mile bottom for rough idea of where i mean

are there picnic bits on a11 then? would be nearer to pub.

but we dont want to be near this, if its what i think it is :yuck:

I think I know where you mean. Is it the road which you'd use to go to bury st Edmunds? Think I've used once or twice when going to a mates from Norwich to Bury, was a few years back though.
 
That's the Elveden War Memorial, not far west of Thetford on the A11 towards Newmarket. Nice setting but I think only a single narrow pull in lay by.

On a side note, I drove Norwich to Cambridge earlier this week and was pleased to see work has begin to clear the land on one side of the A11 along that stretch to dual it. The dual carriageway will follow the path of the existing road except for Elveden village, which it'll by-pass to the north.

Its getting there... I've been uber busy with work and some pretty bad family stuff but now I'm getting back on the forum and taking part again.

The forge bits are going nicely now. Car does seem faster now they've bedded in but they are still stupidly loud... You'll hear it all next week (y)
 
May turn up for a while after i drop misses off at work but will have kids with me so don't know how long i can stay......(a bad father would drug them up before they left home so they fell asleep mmm:idea:)

Even if i make it for hour at least give me time to say hi and meet a few of you.

If you're coming down the A47, then it'd probably be better for me and @Rigby to meet you at the A47 at Guyhirn little chef/petrol station (Fen Road A47) and then convoy over through Wisbech and onto Downham Market etc. I take it Rigby has your phone number? If not, just pm me it Tom :D
