(G) excited!!

Decided to start working on my cinq ,its been over a month since ive went near it,its just been sitting in the garage looking sorry for its self,so full steam ahead now,ive removed the bonnet ,front bumper,passenger side wing ,as they are all scrap and need replaced,then after the new parts arrive and are fitted ,it'll be getting resprayed like a dark blue/navy blue,im paying £200 for the respray ,after ive bought the paint etc, thats mates rates,

after all the exterior is done (its well over due) then im thinking of doing the 1242 conversion ,(bear in mind its an 899 lol)

the exterior is shoddy ,dented wing ,dented bonnet ,cracked bumper,when i bought the car last year ,me and rallycinq basically replaced the underside of the car lol ,new brakes all round ,brake pipes,wheels,suspension ,exhaust,

then i had to fork out for a windscreen,etc etc

Just get on with it!!

Ha ha , funny guy lol

Ordered my new front wing yesterday ,partco should have it for me on monday morning sometime then ill fit that,my bumper is coming from somewhere else not sure where though as im not paying £50 for one ,

im hoping to have most repairs done by mid april ,then get it in the booth end of april / mid may,

had any experience fitting a pattern wing to a cinq david?

i need front and rear bumpers but can't find any locally where are getting yours from, any chance of a phone number...........cheers andy

I'd have bought a genuine fiat wing as it's guaranteed to be galve.
They're quite reasonable on price.

Fitting a wing, even a Fiat one, is all about patience, and making sure it all lines up before final fitting.

couldnt of put it better myself

only thing i would add is use masking tape on all door edges and bonnet edges etc to stop scratches and watch your fingers the copy parts especailly tend to have poor finnished edges
