(T) ECU Swap (like wife swap but different!!)

hey guys im lookin to swap my R reg ecu and lock set for my N reg ecu and lockset any body know if ill run into problems??

N reg ECU markings:-

IAW 16F.ER/2A21-A7
FIAT "500" 1.1 F.2 IMB T. .T.

(T. .T.) is that correct cos it seems a wierd designation

R reg ECU markings:-

IAW 16F.ER/6A35-AA
FIAT 500 1.1 ECE FASE 2


how long do they take to fully relearn all the way through the rev range?
do you have to rev it for it to learn as in 1000rpm for 2 mins 1500rpm for 2 mins and so on or do you just drive it? if you drive it how many miles roughly does it take?
i know you have to leave it on tickover for 2 mins for it to learn idle perameters...

might have to invest in a mckritch as well if the wife lets me!!

whats the issue that you need to swap?
shouldnt be any issues but dont forget the codebox.both sportings?

both sportings mate yeah as the ecu designation suggests... code box?? explain i though that was in the ecu... where is it whats it do?
i understand theres a 'coil' round the ignition that picks up the code from the key and allows the ecu to run the motor but i didnt realise it was a seperate box

im changing the boot door but keeping the lock and i got the red key for the R reg and not the N i just figured for 45 mins of messin it might save me a hell of a lot of money further down the line

under the steering column bolted to the fuse box is the code box.
this is mated to the ECU
