Questions about my GSR Induction KIT

Hi guys

I have fitted my GSR induction kit fine with no problems. Going to sort out a ferrule for the gasses from the top of the camshaft cover. (also a note i have fitted tricker 40mm tb too.)

The wire which normally runs from the tb to the standard induction box i have left but it seems to be pressurized (think it was origionally a sensor). What do i need to do with this? At the moment i have just put some tape over it. Is that the right or wrong thing to do?

All help much apreciated guys

Many thanks

Matt

Re: Questions about my GSR Induction KIT

Not sure if the Sei is the same, but on the cing sporting on the standard airbox there are two small pipes, there from the thermostatic vacuum switch. One sucks air in and the other leads to the choke.

When i fitted my K&N (we all make mistakes ) the instructions tell you to plug the vacuum one up (think its the brown one) so thats what i did but i still don't think that can be right. If fiat put it there, surely it's there for a reason??? But generally i do trust that K&N wouldn't tell you to do something that would damage your engine.

So in other words yes tape over it is the right thing to do...unless anyone has any better suggestions???

Jamie

Re: Questions about my GSR Induction KIT

It is there to operate the flap that changes the intake from hot to cold on a standard airbox. You don't have the valve anymore, so you don't need it. I would put a screw into the end of the connection rather than tape.

Cheers

Re: Questions about my GSR Induction KIT

The mpi Sei never had this at all as far as I remember so it can't be too important
