I have circled where the bolts are, plus there are 2 on the other side of the car in a similier postion.

WD40 the bolts first, because they are star-shaped ones and can be easily balded. The ones up inside the wheel arch are the hardest to get at, it is advisable to either take the wheel off or take the arch lining out, i didnt bother and cut my hands to shreads:(

Leave the top 2 bolts till last, so the bumper doesnt fall and get damaged

can you put sei sporting front and back bumpers on a non sei sporing, like the active, any help on this would be appreciated, thanks

i couldnt see a problem doing this, my main worry would be the posistion of the exhaust as there is a hole in the rear sporting bumper for it to go through, but there isnt to my knowledge on the active, but the bolt holes should line up.

Have a look on the pic that is posted and see if the bolts line up with the active bumpers, it wouldnt take 2 mins.

I have circled, roughly where the bolts are on the rear bumper, as you can see from the pic the rear lights need removeing as there is bolt underneath them.

thanks, ill have a look at that. the exhaust is the exact same apart from it doesnt have the chrome end piece but i have put one on so i hope it works because ive been checkin out sportings compared to mines and everything is the same apart from the sporty bumpers and the alloys. thanks again

i ran out and checked that man, all 8 are the same, you know where the best place to get the front and rear sporting bumpers are?, i live in northern ireland and there arent many places like that.

the best bet would be scrappies, cause fiat would be a rip off, or just have a look around.

cheers bout the plate:D

so u reckon i should go to my local scrappy
and ask if they have any busted up sei sportings that
i can have parts off?
what do u reckon insurance would say if i did that,
and dont forget im from N.I, insurance a bitch over here,
group 1 sei, how much it cost u to insure your group 3 sei sporting?

it costs me £1200 FC with 1 NCB but i crashed in 2002 and its still stinging me for it, hopefully next renewal (June) it will come down to £600-£700, thats with my mods declared.

i doubt they would say much about the bumpers, TBH i wouldnt bother telling them cause its only the bumpers, if it was like a bodykit or something then I would advise u to tell them, my insurance comapany (CIS) are not concerned that I have changed the outside of my car, all they said was aslong as they are informed then its ok, but if parts of my car need replacing then it would be put back to normal.

I have heard N.I insurance is bad, but it cant be that bad can it??

group 1, like the lowest, thats how i found the sei i have, always loved the sei sporting but it was group 3 and bein 18 and on r plates (dont think u's haf to do that?) its a bitch. so my sei bein an active is only group 1, but costs me £1400 and thats with 35% starter discount and on with mum (even though she has never, and will never drive it) so mite be a bitch until i get insurance of my own cause i get no claims out of that mum bein named driver.
suppose i can ring them and see what they say. i have a pic of my sei but cant seem to get it on, am trying though, hehe, must be like only non sporting on here but even my front bumpers ive noticed now are different even than the s and sx, oh and having no rev counter a bitch, take it i can get one planted and connected up in middle of dash?
hate not knowing when im red lining in 2nd and 3rd cause have this minter road up from me a bit, bout 3 miles long, slightly inclined and love to floor her and see what i can get her to do.
take it gear ratios slightly different cause sporting slightly more tuned?

yeah the active is the second best spec on the sei, i never really noticed the bumpers, but will go have anose round cause there is one up my streeet.

I dont think that u can hook up a rev counter, it has been asked before and i think the conclusion was no, I may be wrong though.

The gear ratios are slightly different, i think it gives it more pulling power and a higher 5th just to get that extra little bit out of her. But I think that my sei and your sei would be evenly matched cause I am assuming that u have the newer model and they are MPI engines as opposed to my SPI.

yeah she be an mpi, speed good enough for me, got up to 90 and still pulling but had to ease off, was coming to bend, didnt wana chance it. but my first car what do i want. aw well, ive kinda set my own gear red lines neway, no more than 35 in 2nd, 60 in 3rd and 75 do for 4th, 5th can have the last wee bit of mph.
the front bumper is maybe only a wee bit different from s and sx, has a slightly more aggresive slightly sportish front grill (or maybe thats just wat i tell myself to let on. lol)
have a picture of little blue sei on my pc, how u get it on here?

it needs to be hosted on the web try www.photobucket.com
