(G) cinq sportin injection problem

hello all, new-ish to forum so thought id post a msg

i drive a cinq sportin 1,1 (currently moddin') however not so much now but it went through a phase of jolting really badly and the injection light would pop on and off, wen i originally brought car - bout 2yr ago, it always use to flash on and of but nothin happened, where as coup[le weeks ago id try to gain acceleration but it wudnt give me any then it wud kick in and almost look like its stallin, any ideas?? is not doin it now but wonderin wat it cud of been incase it starts again

hmm well if its the injectors then i would say buy urself a new lot because there probably ****ed but to me it sounds quite like something is wrong with ur spark plugs because thats what you get when there is a dirty plug. Check you spark plugs and then check your spark leads aswell one maybe loose or something. But if they seem ok then ermm i think it might just be the damn injectors.

The injector warning light isnt a problem with the injectors... its a problem with the engine management system, more than likely a duff sensor (probably map sensor or lambda sensor)

If you have a word with fiat they can plug it into a diagnostic machine to check for error codes on the ecu which will pinpoint whats wrong Or can randomly try map sensor or lambda sensor

As above. Chances of it being the injectors themselves are tiny. Either FIAT for a diagnostic or ask your local motor factors (not Halfords!) if they can recommend someone to do a diagnostic on your car with a code reader. It'll cost anything from nowt to £60.

Thankyou for all your answers and suggestions, im booking car in for service during week and will ask garage then to see what they can suggest otherwise ill check spark plugs later and will let u know, thanks for ur help! x

think fiat usually charge about £25-£30 for code reading
