hi had a run up to work on turbo today and its alive!!! it runs!! got to drive it for a short distance up and down the private road wow:worship: van aaken rock:worship: had to strip all the old alarm out and solder and heat shrink all the wires back together then repair the ignition wires i turned the key just to see if it would turn on the key now and to my surprise it started! big boost when you buy a non runner and you get to drive it.

Can see where the spoiler in my wardrobe used to be stuck on

I didn't realise that the poor old thing had suffered so much damage at the hands of scum and the grand custard sales extravaganza (of which many of us benefited ) on the face of it a re-shell really looks an option

needs rid of that silly vynl aswell as vanaaken are such uncooperative horible people apart from one member of there staff.

id deffo leave the vinyl on, looks good :slayer: likely to be faded under it too.

what kinda condition is the turbo in?

the engine sounds sweet and now it's a runner i will start putting it together properly, the shell isnt that bad i know the easy option would to be to swap all the parts to the mint sporting thats sitting on my drive but being the first i do think that she should be restored. the doors came off the doner car i got so the paint match is terrible at least they are straight. it will be getting a full respray after i have done the other work.
i am getting the decals re-made they have been on since it left van aaken so i think they should stay. i know its not to everyones taste but i will be doing it as standard (van aaken standard) i thought that would be right for the first one plenty of modded ones out there but then again the more i drool over ghosts.................

Wahey, good stuff mate, totally agree it should be restored, and i seen it parked up before it was custards once, i like the decal.
