Re: Brake Line Unions

so coarse or fine then, and my money would be on coarse

so looks like I was right after all doh

Done a bit of searching today and of course the net has once again confused me so the basic choice are:-

metric or imperial (Fiat metric of course)
coarse or fine (??????? suspect coarse)

so ....... D is it fine or coarse?

(edit first time i have ever had to use course and coarse in so few words phew )

Re: Brake Line Unions

I'd bet it's coarse. I've got some Alfa calipers knocking about downstairs, I'll see what the thread is. No guarantees, but..............

Re: Brake Line Unions

I don't have my car or any brake parts here, but I would go coarse, but then I am known for being coarse myself!!

Cheers

Re: Brake Line Unions

Ah well, the thread into the Alfa caliper is definately 1.00 -- fine. Unlikely, I think, that they'd use different threads.

So, is the thread M10x1.0? I'm trying to get some flexies made up with stainless hose ends and the only companies that have them near me duno what the fiat thread is.

yep M10x1 fine and..... the last factor to consider is short (you can have long or short, the long leaves a exposed thread which is perfectly safe but MOT testers moan about, the short is close to flush fitting
