| Front brake upgrades - Discs / Pads Std fitment to a Cinq Sporting. No Uno GT conversions. Been looking at new discs and pads, so any thoughts / experiences on the following would be great: Discs - 1. Red Dot Discs - 6 Groove Front - RD-XJ15 - £79 Delivered 2. Tarox Discs - Sport Japan - Front - TRX-0741S - £108 Delivered 6. Cinquecento OMP Sports Disks Front - OMPTFS2019 - £69 Pads - 1. Red Dot Pads - Fast Road - Front - RD-XE8 - £44 2. Tarox Pads - Fast Road - Front - TRX-1810.112 - £33 3. Cinquecento OMP Sports Pads Front - OMPOT7162 - £27 Kits - OMP kit for £77 delivered. Sports disc & Sports pads _________________________________ I'm swaying towards the ebay kit for the cost factor, unless anyone knows how much Oldschool does the RedDot kits for? As said, any thoughts?

| this is where i stand | Re: Front brake upgrades - Discs / Pads i used red dot 6 grooves on my standard setup, and have red dot 6 grooves on my UT setup. Pad wise, i used red dot fast road pads on my standard setup and was impressed with them, but ive not used any others so can't really compare. gexs 1242 sei uses the same brake setup that i used to, and from what i know he has no issues with his brakes.

| ' | Re: Front brake upgrades - Discs / Pads Heard bad stuff about drilled discs..I think grooved are more reliable/safer, but that could just be hearsay. I run brembo MAX and Green Stuff on mine and they work very nice. For the most dramatic results, you will need a conversion though! Kristian

| Re: Front brake upgrades - Discs / Pads For the less than £80 all in for the OMP kit, are the others worth the extra? Looking at £120-£140 for the other kits..... Seeing as it's my second car that i use every other weekend i need a good reason to justify the 50% extra costs.

| I Need Beer | Re: Front brake upgrades - Discs / Pads I've used the OMP road sport pads on both my old set up with std size (but drilled and grooved) solid discs and am using then now on the GT brakes with 20 groove vented discs. They have good stopping power and are quite low dust, my only comment is they do take a good few hundred miles to bed in until you have full stopping power other than that can't argue with the performance for the price I've no experience of the discs so can't comment but you would hope the manufactures would make them so they worked well together

The discs aren't OMP but I changed them when I bought the car and have done about 30K miles, they still have a good few thousand miles use left in them yet

| Re: Front brake upgrades - Discs / Pads THREAD UPDATE Well, had them on for a thousand or so miles. Only let me down once after repeated sets of roundabouts with a couple of sets of passengers. Spirted driving along the welsh section of the A5 showed them to be faultless on normalish driving. Since the brake fade episode i've flushed out the fluid for some 5.1 and fitted some mintex pads. A couple of hundred miles on and i'm hoping for some improvement. Not bad for the cost, but some new fluid would make more difference at a much lower cost. Oh, as for YBRacing.
