Newbie - Help required Sei Sport 01

Hi all, I am a newbie here - seems like a very active and friendly forum so I thought I would kick off my contributions with a major problem!

Picked up my 2001 Seicento sporting yesterday - lovely car and my fourth small Fiat.

However, big problem last night! Car started to cut out intermittently, but always starting back up again. I put it down to the fact that the car had baan sat on the forecourt a while or something.

Then, driving off it cut out completely and would not restart - car turns over no probs but will not start. Also the EBOD light is now stuck on. Any ideas??

Car has done 15000 miles since new but only 2500 in the last 14 months.

Contated garage today to have a look but they are not Fiat dealers and I guess they will just fanny around with leads for a few days. Any help would be appreciated, I was so excited to get my new motor yesterday and this has taken the shine off it a bit.

Many thanks, I know this is the right place to ask!!

On my fourth Fiat, each one has been my last!

The fuel pump is working I think, I can hear it whizz into action when I turn the ignition on.

I am suspicious that the problem is fuel related though

Thanks for the reply

You could do with a diagnostic test to pinpoint the fault, probably crank sensor I'd think.

Don't be put off, Centos are cracking little cars when sorted. Mainly very reliable too.

oh, and welcome to the forum:)
