(S) Painting Cinq Door Mirrors

Hi all

Just wandering does any one know where I can buy a spray can of 189 Rosso red paint from so I can match the body colour for my door mirrors? I have tried several motor factors and Halfords and no one has got the 189 Rosso I need.

Most have several reds but none match the PPG sticker on the tail gate that states 189 Rosso.

Any ideas? I only need one can.

ive used them ,there good,you just supply car make etc ,paint code and they send the paint,saves trying to explain things to them half ass ****s at halfrauds

hellfrauds do it ive got 189 rosso red from them. they mix it there though its not on the shelf.

Don't forget -- if you're painting unpainted ones or rub through the primer, you need a plastic primer first!

Halfords wanted £10 for 1no 300ml can. I said no thanks. My local factor sells them for £2.32 buy he does not have the colour. All added up it might be cheaper to source red original ones off the classifieds.

look, paint isnt cheap at the end of the day and the halfords mixed at the store cans actually have quite a good spray pattern. I did mine with them ages ago before i resprayed my car totally and theres easily enough to do 2 mirrors.

Most paint factors will do it for 6 to 7 quid. You need 1 can (and a can of plastic primer if you're clumsy/working on the black ones). Where are you going to source 2 mirrors for less than £30?

There is more than one shade of Rosso 189, and the difference shows. I repainted chunks of my old sporting, it was tricky getting a good match owing to fading and the original multiple shades. Come to think of it I have a pair of freshly repainted red mirrors going spare.

Fivehundred, are they in good order and genuine Fiat units (silly question otherwise you would not have painted them) if so how much are you wanting for them including delivery?
