(T) how much will this cost?

Ive got a mate with a cinq and his gear box has decided to die! So I just need to know how much a second hand box will cost plus the fitting, or how much a new box will cost plus fitting? Thanks

2nd hand box for an 899cc cinq will cost about £70 delivered,theres one on ebay now.

2nd hand box for a 1.1 sporting will cost you probably about the same ,theres a guy breaking one on here ,look in the classifieds,his gearbox looks mint!

also when changing a gearbox you would be better changing the clutch

if you are getting a garage to do the fitting of the gearbox i would say about 1-3 hours labour ,about £65 per hour

Has the box definately had it?

Its nothing like synchro has failed or anything?

A back street clutch place will do the gearbox (you supply the parts) for about £100. Wise to do the clutch at the same time. A used box? Anywhere from £30 to £150 quid.
