Re: Dash pics

Looks like a very good job... looking forward to seeing it fully painted. Im not sure i would have filled in the section next to the wheel (to the left hand side of it).... Seems a lot of work if your thinking of selling the car?

Re: Dash pics

A lot of work has gone into that, but you do realise that painting it any metallic or bright colour will make it very reflective to light and therefore the whole dash is going to be getting reflected onto the windscreen which can be a real hazard in summer as it could impair your vision ahead. If involved in an accident by day an eagle eyed investigator may even spot it and lay blame at your door even if not using highly reflective surface, something car manufacturers avoid as a hindrance to your driving ability.

Why not flock it proper race/rally car style, the benefit of this is that it is not reflective hence why used in a competitive environment, looks very high quality and will not show up any cracks if they occur.

Worth considering.

Re: Dash pics

I'm not a fan of your final concept but it's a beautifully done piece of work, think it will work well when finished. Good job there!

Re: Dash pics

i think it looks awesome in primer tbh! and i wouldnt go for metallic as the reflection would literally be hell in summertime! maybe go for metallic in the fabricated bit around the PS2, then matt or flock for the rest?
