Re: project pictures

after a few hours hard work tonight ive managed to get the document tray piece completely rubbed down stopper pasted and smoothed again to cover imperfections. i then put a coat of primer onto this part of the dash to help me see if there was any imperfections to be rectified before the painting process.

Re: project pictures

heres the picture of my centre console which i made. i did this by making the shape out of mdf then fibreglassing over the top of the mould then smoothing the fibreglass and trimming it in cobra black material. this console fits nice and tight under the dash and also goes over the center tray on the floor, i have had to relocate my lighter and ive also put the switches for the ps2 neons split charge etc in. comments please guys! opinions and ideas welcome

Re: project pictures

i have now started t rub down the pillar trims. due to me previously painting these black with the grain still being there i have had to completely smooth these plastics to not only loose the grain but also to get all of the old paint off. these will be painted the same colour aas the dash. i have successfully done one of them but as you can see the other needs tome more time and devotion.

Re: project pictures

as promised heres the pics of the screens all fitted in place. in order to do this i had to make some brackets that fitted to the roof lining then i could fix these in place. here you can see aswell that i have completely retrimmed the roof in black material.

Re: project pictures

Rory mate, ive been waiting to see someone put flip down screens in a sei to see how it looked and i am mightily impressed!

Did you encounter problems with location of all the wires and does your roof lining sag?
