Vacuum pipe

Hi all,

Can I just confirm that the pipe with the brown 90 degree fitting is the vacuum hose? Because with the engine running there is absolutely no vacuum present!

Could I connect it to the MAF pipe; the gauge I got included a T-piece, and the MAF takes manifold vacuum pressure doesn't it?

Re: Vacuum pipe

MassAirFlow Sensor?

The ECU's of the Speed- Density type (uses engine speed and manifold pressure to work out stuff), not MAF type.

MAP Sensor takes manifold absolute pressure, and IIRC that brown pipe is the vac pipe.

Re: Vacuum pipe

Ahh, sorry, keep getting them mixed up!

I've connected it using the T-Piece between the manifold and the MAP and it all works fine! Thanks for the input.

Re: Vacuum pipe

That pipe gets blocked using a screw when not using stock air intake.

Re: Vacuum pipe

Yup, all blocked up with a screw now

Need to find a place to pick up the illumination current now. I thought I found a place using the multimeter but when I connected that up the foglights turned on Other than that the gauges are in, water temp doesn't work yet as I haven't installed the sender yet, the wiring is in place ready and waiting though.
